The Rewa Shipwreck lies half submerged at Moturekareka Island and was the largest four masted steel barque of its time. Initially scuttled to protect the bay it not lies across the bay area blocking access for larger vessels.
We can get within touching distance of the Rewa and jet ski the whole way around the wreck site. There is a small bay behind the wreck where we will have a short break and change of drivers if required and then we are of again to our next destination. As we leave the Rewa Shipwreck we jet ski through the Blanche Channel, a small channel of water that splits Moturekareka Island and Motuketekete Island, with some stunning rock formations and caves this is another great photo opportunity.
Destination number 7, next destination 'Secret Cove'
